Article 1 - Concept
The aim of the Repair Café is to teach people to repair together, rather than throw things away.
From then on, repairs are carried out together: coaches advise, help and guide visitors in repairing their objects. The idea is to repair together.
Article 2 - Services
2.1. Repair services
Services should be approached as a "helping hand between neighbors". Repair coaches, who are not professionals, do not have absolute expertise, may refuse to repair certain objects (particularly in the case of dangerous or abusive repairs, etc.), and are not obliged to reassemble a dismantled appliance that cannot be repaired.
Repairs are authorized only on the following equipment:
- Computer equipment ;
- MOBILE PHONES;
- Small household appliances;
- Please note: microwaves are excluded from authorized repairs.
Coaches can only accept one item at a time per visitor and per workshop. The maximum number of visitors coached at any one time is 3.
2.2 Equipment
Repair materials are made available to visitors and coaches. The equipment must remain on the Repair Café premises. No one is authorized to use or take back the equipment outside the Repair Café premises, or to use it for any purpose other than repairing the object entrusted to them
The specific parts needed to repair the equipment are the responsibility of the users, who will purchase them on their own, on the advice of the coaches.
Non-repairable equipment and defective parts will be recovered by their owners.
2.3 Provision of coffee, tea and water
Water, coffee and tea are available for coaches and visitors. The principle of a Repair Café is to encourage responsible consumption and production. Visitors and coaches are therefore asked to consume the beverages provided in accordance with this principle.
2.4. Premises
The Repair Café is located in B8. Visitors and coaches undertake to keep the premises clean and tidy and to treat the equipment provided with respect. In addition, visitors and coaches agree to comply with waste separation regulations.
The Repair Café is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. outside vacations. However, during university vacations, and in the absence of the site manager, the Repair Café is closed.
Article 3 - Obligation of means and absence of liability
There is no guarantee of results for the services offered. Visitors are aware of the risks they are taking by entrusting their object(s) to the Repair Café and accept them. The coaches cannot be held responsible for damage to an object during or after repair. Consequently, visitors declare that they will have no recourse against any individual or legal entity.
Article 4 - Personal data
Visitors' personal data (surname, first name, telephone number and e-mail address), collected via the registration form, will only be processed to the extent necessary for the following purposes:
- To link the equipment being repaired to the visitor-owner;
- To contact the visitor-owner regarding the repair or impossibility of repair of his equipment.
The processing of this data will be carried out on the basis of the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party or the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at the data subject's request (RGPD, Art. 6, 1, b.)
These data will be kept until the end of the repair. It will not be transmitted to third parties.
