Decentralized Computing Units

These units have been set up within the Faculties, as part of SEGI, to organize local IT resources and provide users with local logistical support, as part of a "distributed" IT system.

Each unit is placed under the responsibility of a Management Board. A Director is in charge of day-to-day management, and local correspondents (see below) provide first-level technical support to users in their respective areas. In addition, the UDIs manage a number of public rooms for students.

The missions of the UDIs and their limits are set out in the "Charter for UDIs and their users".

Remote assistance

In certain specific cases, and at the request of the UDI, it is possible to use a remote computer or mobile device control module . This remote connection is temporary and requires prior validation by the user.
