(Future) students

TEC

Since 1 September 2022, the price of an annual season ticket has been €12 for 18-24 year olds.

The University of Liège wanted to extend this measure to all its students by offering reimbursement via the student social service for students under 18 and over 24. To find out more, visit the ULiege website.

SNCB

Students under the age of 26 benefit from a reduction on the price of their train pass.

When you take out an SNCB season ticket, you will be asked for a certificate of enrolment. This can be downloaded directly in PDF format and printed from home using the virtual office on the myULiège portal.

Bike

ULiège also offers an overhaul and repair service, as well as training in bicycle mechanics, via its bicycle workshop at Sart Tilman (B7a). A discount on the price of labour is granted to ULiège students and staff. 

ULiège staff members

The reimbursement of home-work travel expenses is only applied to the use of public transport or bicycles by statutory or heritage staff in the strict sense. It may, however, be extended to scientific, administrative, technical and blue-collar staff by agreement or through external services, subject to the agreement of the head of the PTO to which the reimbursement will be charged.

In certain cases, it is possible to combine the reimbursement of a public transport season ticket with the cycling allowance if the use of a bicycle complements that of public transport.

TEC and SNCB

TEC and SNCB season tickets are reimbursed at 100%, subject to certain conditions. For regular users of the train and TEC lines, there is a combined SNCB/TEC season ticket.

Bicycles

Bicycle expenses are reimbursed at the rate of €0.27 (as at 01/01/2023) per kilometre, provided that the journey is at least one kilometre.
