Construction of the Institut de Génie civil et de Mécanique, offices and laboratories was completed in 2000.

The premises were inaugurated in 2001.
The architect is René Greisch.
* From an architectural point of view, this phase of construction (including the Amphithéâtres de l'Europe, the Trifacultaire and theInstitut de Mathématiques ) presents certain characteristics.
While concrete remains the material of choice, its treatment differs from previous construction phases.
Sometimes left exposed on the inside, on the outside it is clad in stainless steel.

As well as being aesthetically pleasing, this choice ensures that the buildings will stand the test of time.
The architecture of this project is distinctive, combining formal reflection, simple volumes and clear internal organization.
