Open to corporate meetings, symposia, cocktail parties and even private receptions private receptionsthe Château offers different formulas from a seminar for just a few people, to a meeting for as many people as you wish 140 to a prestigious cocktail party or even a meal for several dozen guests.
Since 2013, Frédéric Salpetier, the Michelin-starred chef of the gourmet restaurant "L'Héliport", previously located on the left bank opposite the Palais des Congrès, has taken over part of the château's space to host the Brasserie héliport.
The Château's park, like the forested slope leading to the old Colonster mill at the mouth of the Blanc Gravier valley, is fully accessible to the public, who can discover hundreds of remarkable, labelled trees.
The Château parking lot can accommodate up to 150 vehicles. With its curves, it blends in perfectly with its surroundings without detracting from them. In spring, the cherry blossoms give it a particularly beautiful color.
The château and its grounds (137 ha) have been part of the Sart-Tilman since its creation in 1963, to accommodate guests visiting the University.
The open-air museum
Like many corners of Sart-Tilman, the park and surroundings of Colonster Castle are home to works by Musée en Plein Air, including the two sculptures shown below.
Freddy Wybaux's ceramic piece Ange Vert and Thierry Bontridder's stainless steel composition Déplacement dans le temps et dans l'espace have been installed along the driveway leading from the parking lot to the Castle.
Arriving at the Château, one is struck by La Joie de vivre, a bronze sculpture by Rik Wouters, also known as La Vierge folle, which defies gravity.
