* The Institut de Mathématiques is the work of architect Jean Maquet (1997), who had already designed theInstitut Montéfiore , with which it is adjacent and with which he seeks harmony of form and integration into the environment.

Built during the second phase of construction of the Sart Tilman university estate, the architecture of theInstitut de Mathématique, like that of theInstitut d'Électricité Montefiore, shows a tendency towards humanization. There is a marked presence of wood, which contributes to a warm, friendly atmosphere. A certain post-modern tendency marks this second building period.
