The Physics building dates from 1967. It was one of the first to be built in the northern zone of Sart Tilman. It is 65 meters long, 27.50 meters wide and 21 meters high, on six levels. Austere and monolithic in appearance, made of exposed concrete, it nevertheless blends in well with the site thanks to its numerous windows and limited height. In autumn, the Virginia creeper that climbs a whole section of the west face of the main building is particularly striking.

The building on the far left, B5c, is the Institut d'Astrophysique et de géophysique (Jacques Antoine, 2002), with its very simple architecture and original whistle shape, in light salmon-colored bricks. The building in the foreground, B5b, is the physics building dedicated to practical work.
